About SR Exploranza
SR Exploranza exists to help people step outside their normal environment – not just physically, but mentally as well.
We work with individuals and teams who don’t necessarily see themselves as “outdoor people”, or who have only experienced it in a limited way. People who spend much of their time in structured, busy environments, and need something different.
Our experiences are designed to be accessible, supportive, and genuinely enjoyable, without losing the sense of challenge and achievement that makes time outdoors so powerful.
This is not traditional “team building”. There are no forced activities or artificial environments. Instead, we create space for people to move, explore, and reset – in real outdoor settings that allow for clearer thinking, better connection, and a genuine break from the everyday.
You don’t need prior experience to work with us. You don’t need to be particularly fit or “outdoorsy”.
You just need to be open to trying something different.
We keep our groups small, our approach personal, and our experiences grounded. Everything is designed to help people build confidence, develop capability, and leave with a sense of achievement that stays with them long after the day ends.
SR Exploranza is not about creating outdoor experts.
It’s about helping people take the next step – whatever that looks like for them.

Sean & Rebecca
Mountaineers, Climbing and Paddleboarding Instructors

SR Exploranza is built around the two of us – Sean and Rebecca.
Long before the business had a name, our lives were already centred around the outdoors, travel, and shared experiences. Climbing, hiking, exploring new places, and spending time in nature have always been a core part of how we live.
But what shaped this business wasn’t just what we do – it was what we saw.
We’ve both seen how easy it is for people to become disconnected from the outdoors. Work, routine, confidence, or simply not knowing where to start can all become barriers. Many people assume these experiences aren’t for them.
We don’t believe that.
Sean brings a background in leadership and structured environments, including time as a Royal Engineer Officer, where clarity, planning, and looking after people properly were essential. That experience now underpins how our experiences are designed and delivered.
Rebecca brings a natural ability to connect with people, creating environments where individuals feel comfortable, supported, and able to step outside their comfort zone without pressure or expectation.
Together, we focus on making the outdoors feel accessible.
Not by removing challenge, but by supporting people through it – helping them build confidence, develop skills, and leave with a sense of achievement that stays with them.
How we approach every experience
We don’t create trips in the traditional sense.
Everything we offer is something we genuinely want to do ourselves – places we’re drawn to, routes we want to explore, and experiences we believe are worth having.
That means we’re not sending people off on something we’ve built from a distance.
We’re there.
We meet you at the airport. We travel with you. We manage the detail, work with trusted local guides where needed, and stay alongside you throughout the experience.
You’re not buying a trip from us.
You’re joining us.
Because of that, we keep things personal. We choose locations and routes that feel real, often away from the usual tourist paths, and we design experiences that balance challenge with enjoyment and support.
Sean’s role as a registered independent travel agent allows us to build these experiences directly – cutting out unnecessary layers, working closely with local providers, and ensuring everything is aligned with the experience we want to deliver.
We don’t run high-volume, repeat itineraries.
We create experiences we believe in, and we share them with people who want to be part of something a little different.
Where the name comes from
SR Exploranza wasn’t the original name.
As the business evolved, so did our thinking. We wanted something that reflected both of us, and what we are trying to create.
“SR” stands for Sean and Rebecca.
“Exploranza” is a blend of explore and esperanza – the Spanish word for hope – inspired by our time in South America and the experiences that shaped how we see adventure.
For us, it represents more than just travel or activity.
It’s about giving people the confidence to explore something new, with the belief that they are capable of more than they think.
